The Research Center for Socialist Public Finance with Chinese Characteristics was established on June 25, 2023, as a high-level academic platform under the decision-making leadership of the Party Committee of Xiamen National Accounting College. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the Center focuses on major issues such as the theoretical framework, institutional construction, and reform practices of socialist public finance with Chinese characteristics. It is committed to conducting forward-looking, targeted, and reserve-oriented policy research, striving to build a theoretical research base and think tank with distinctive features and significant influence that embodies "Chinese characteristics and first-class domestic standards."

Leveraging the academic strengths and extensive collaborative network of the College, the Center integrates renowned domestic and international public finance scholars and experts. It emphasizes close cooperation with government departments, academia, and industry, actively constructing a collaborative innovation platform that integrates "government, industry, academia, and research."

The Center's development goals encompass four key aspects: first, deepening theoretical exploration in public finance to promote theoretical innovation and system construction; second, fostering academic exchanges to create high-level academic platforms that advance discipline development; third, strengthening the think tank function to provide intellectual support for central and local policy-making; and fourth, serving the College's core mission by actively contributing to the cultivation of high-end talent and discipline development.

Looking ahead, the Center will continue to promote resource integration and cross-border collaboration, deepening multi-level cooperation with government departments, universities, and enterprises. It will provide solid theoretical support and intellectual guidance for the development of socialist public finance with Chinese characteristics and the advancement of Chinese modernization.
