Xiamen National Accounting Institute (XNAI,hereafter) was founded in 2002 with the approval of State Council.The Research Center for the Belt & Road Financial and Economic Development advocated by Chinese government was also setup here. XNAI is directly under the Ministry of Finance and administered by the President-Responsibility System under the leadership of Party Committee.

XNAI has the goal of building an internationally renowned accounting institute, following the motto of “Sticking to Integrity, Adhering to Ethics, Upholding Standards,Preparing No False Accounts”. There are three pillars in XNAI: high-level training, degree education and think tank building.

XNAI focuses on high-level training in accounting, auditing,taxation, and economic management, such as National Accounting Leading Talents Training Project, CFO Training for Large and Medium-sized Organizations, NPC Member Training etc..

In degree education, XNAI was authorized to grant master’s degree in 2011, now it offers Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) and Master of Taxation (MT), as well as Mater of Auditing (MAud) degree programs.

In think tank building, XNAI has two research centers and four research institutes: The Research Center for the Belt & Road Financial and Economic Development, China Financial Fraud Research Center;Government Comprehensive Financial Reporting Research Center;Institute of Financial Accounting and Auditing, Institute of Management Accounting and Financial Management,Institute of Public Finance and Taxation,and Institute of Economics and   Management.

XNAI is a modernized education institute with a team of experienced teaching and research staff, advanced teaching facilities and garden-likecampus. Embraced by mountains and facing the sea, it is located at the south of the Xiamen Island. XNAI covers a floor space of 335,000 square meters with a construction area of 88,000 square meters, which can accommodate over 1,000 trainees and about 300  postgraduate students.
